When does the registration requirement take effect?
As of Monday, July 30th individuals who use the Job Search, My Favorite Job Search, Resume, Cover Letter, Work Application, or Matching functions of Job Center of Wisconsin (JCW) must be registered. Some of these functions have always required registration; some are new!
If you are already registered on JCW, the only change you will notice is that you will have to login before doing a Job Search or using My Favorite Job Search. Do not register again. Your current username and password have not changed.
Customers without a username and password, or those who have never registered, must do so. Go to "Job Seeker Tools" in the dark blue menu bar, and click on "Register for Services/Update."

Is an existing "My Favorite Job Search" username and password enough?
No. If you already have a username and password to use My Favorite Job Search, you will need to register. Simply login with your current username and password, go to "Job Seeker Tools" in the dark blue menu bar, and click on "Register for Services/Update."
Step-by-Step Registration Instructions
What information is needed?
- Create a username and password. The password should be something that is easy for you to remember, but difficult for someone else to guess. A username and password are not the same as an e-mail address.
- Social Security Number (SSN), date of birth, and gender.
- Address, telephone number, and e-mail address (if you have them).
- Demographic information such as race, disabilities, Unemployment Insurance status, limited English skills, military and veteran status, and seasonal farm worker status.
Are there benefits to registration?
Registration improves the ability to provide direct communication with customers on possible job opportunities, including specialized recruitments, job fairs, workshops, and other employment-related events.
And, as of July 30th, a new feature called "My JCW" was released. My JCW lets customers check their status and access other job seeking tools. Additional My JCW tools are pending release.
